Hi folks,
The xmas rush is over and the madness and merriment has ceased. The
little one got more presents than our house can hold and the notch
on my belt has been extended to cover the copious amounts of xmas
pudding, cake and cheese and I am begining to look a touch like a
twiglet after eating numerous boxes.
2010 brings with it more raiding and WoW challenges, not least of
all new bosses in Icecrown Citadel and the impending release of the
next expansion.
I've been quiet the last few weeks just writing ICC guides on
http://www.crusaderscoliseum.com
of which I now have 2 more updated to complete and
then I am happy that they are effective
strategies.
Just to give you guys a heads up these strategies are developed
with my 10 man team, we dont read shit loads before or go into the
fight with many preconceptions the only thing we checkÂ
up on first are the boss abilities. We build our strategy from
scratch refining as we go along, that way everyone knows how to
execute the plan by the time we finish.
Is this bad?? Well its not the MOST productive use of our time,
hence why we dont get server firsts or even server 10ths!! BUT
it...

Added more Raid Leader Guides
Hi folks, I've added more guides to the blog for Raid Leaders, I write most of the boss guides over at http://www.crusaderscoliseum.com so I've been trying to find a style that fits both this site and that one, combining the Raid Leader check sheets but with enough details to be useful as full tactics and strategy guides. I'll keep tweaking them until I feel comfortable and they get good feedback.

I've put together a site that's pulling in news from various
sources on the next World of Warcraft expansion Cataclysm.
I'll be writing some articles on there and pulling in articles from
other sources to try and have a good central source of facts in one
place in order to prepare for the upcoming expansion in 2010.
Some people think i'm mental to be thinking about this a year in
advance but it's going to be a huge change for the game and I want
to be prepared. I was going to do one for Icecrown patch 3.3 but
i've kind of missed the boat a bit so i'm going to post a series of
blogs posts in the next few days on Icecrown just to summarise what
I know and more importantly tell me where i dont know enough
yet!
Feedback is more than welcome as ever, please remember that i'm
still messing with the Syndication software and some of the earlier
imported articles didnt get a link to their original source and
hence credit to the author. I'm currently sorting that out and they
will all get updated with accreditation to the original authors and
a backlink as is only fair, but it's easier for me to do that
manually than...

Dont blog for money or you'll be skint.
I'm a little excited today, I had my first email from someone who
read the site, unfortunately it wasnt anything to do with asking
questions about raid leading it was asking if i was actually making
any money from the site with adsense. I basically gave this
reply.
"Dear Mental Patient,
Unless your very famous, in the top 5% of bloggers, generating a
shed load of traffic or some kind of SEO miracle worker dont expect
to earn any money from blogging. Most bloggers understand that
putting an adsense or equivalent banner on your site isnt going to
generate you a great deal of revenue, nor should that be your
primary conern, it's merely there as an incidental and a way of
covering the cost of some of the hosting charges.
Most people understand these days that if they click on an advert
of something then they are generating you a few pence, some days
you get lucky and get a few clicks others you get none. Adsense
works well as long as you target things people are interested in,
it's much easier than asking someone to buy something as it doesnt
cost them a penny to check something out, but that means that you
dont...

WoW Related Christmas Presents
No doubt about it, i'm a WoW Addict, i like all things WoW I also like all things Christmas, My brother has one of those expensive looking cast models of his Warlock and i want something like that for Christmas. I'm one of the people that has already clicked on the link in the WoW launcher for the posters and made what I think looks like the mutts nuts of posters. My next task is to get someone to buy it for me. I also need some wow related clothing stuff, so i did a search in the old googster and came across
, see the banner below, some awesome Chrismas presents or what? Does anyone actually have any of their stuff? I want to buy the whole place but absolutely most of all i want this one right HERE so i will be redirecting all friends and family to this post :)
Wish me luck :)

WoW Related Site of the Month
Site of the month by a long shot, here is a little nugget I found courtesy of it being posted in http://www.blogazeroth.com . This site is all about blowing the whistle on idiots and jackasses, omg read some of the stories here and you will know exactly what its all about. I seriously recommend using this site and lets start to get a decent list built up of as many people as possible, combine this with http://www.pugchecker.com and you should be able to weed out most of the dross from the very young and immature to the downright rude and ignorant
. Happy wowing !!

The Weekly Raid Quest - Patch
3.3
Looking at some more information
today folks and I've been reading with interest on the stuff
relating to the availability of quests that relate to raid content,
apparently there will be a weekly quest available for people to
pick up after each reset that will involve targeting and killing a
certain boss in a certain raid instance. I have no details about
what the rewards might be but I suspect they will be badge/emblem
related like the daily normal and heroic dungeon quests. Here's the
little bit of blurb that I've picked up.
"Weekly raid quests are
now available from Archmage Lan'dalock in Dalaran. Every Tuesday at
3 AM the Council of Six will choose a different strategic target
that must die from either: The Obsidian Sanctum, Naxxramas, The Eye
of Eternity, Ulduar, Trial of the Crusader, or Icecrown
Citadel."
So is this part of their efforts to
reward guild progress? Well I cant really see it being that
successfully, so far all of the raiding in this expansion is
available to pug groups and can be completed...
