Guild WoW: Welcome to our new section
Raid Leader is pleased to announce the addition of a new section to our site, Guild WoW. It seems that most RL are not only regular raiders but also officers and in many cases GM's of their own guilds. Because of this a lot of questions that come up are around guild management and how to motivate members to attend or contribute in some way. Building a team of successful raiders does not happen overnight and while casual guilds in WoW are definitely in a stronger position than before it's still very easy to see new guilds fail and fall by the wayside. This section is dedicated to Guild WoW and I hope that we can all share our knowledge, understanding, ideas and suggestions to make all of our raiding teams a massive success.
In this section I'm going to write a series of articles that discuss the whole guild creation process right through to stabilising a successful raiding team. I'm not going to promise you server firsts, that's completely up to you, but what I can do is to help guide you through the structure and process that will give you the tools you need to play Guild WoW.

WoW Guild - So you wanna be a GM?
Welcome to the first part of the WoW Guild series. In this series
of articles I am going to discuss the various parts of forming and
running a raiding guild in Blizzards World of Warcraft.
Everyone understands the nature of the game is social. It's about
who you run with, how good they are, what you have achieved and
surrounding yourself with like minded people who you can build up
friendships with. It's no surprise then to realise that there are
hundreds of thousands of WoW Guilds. There are a few very
successful guilds that get the public spotlight for world, region
and some server firsts but most of the guilds you never hear about.
They are either off the radar, don't achieve much or are happy
plodding along in their own little way. One thing these guilds have
in common is apparent every step of the way. Good or bad leadership
can make or break success.
So your thinking about starting a new guild, the first thing that a
lot of people tend to want to do is to think of some fabulous all
encompassing name that makes them sound really cool. Something
either serious or funny but they spend far too much time focusing
on the name of the guild and not its objectives...
